“If You Born Poor, It is not your mistake,
but if you die poor, it is your mistake”
―
Poverty is defined as "the
punishment for a crime you did not commit". Millions of needy children
around the world are being punished every day - and their only
"crime" is being born into poverty.
Needy children raised in poverty
pay a heavy price throughout their lives. Research shows that they suffer from
more illnesses, perform poorly in school and are at greater risk of developing
mental health problems. Yes, there is a need for success, but it pales in
comparison to the millions of untold stories about the truth about children in
poverty.
On 2nd April ECHO Foundation team
visited "Monfort Children's Home" in Uttan village in Bhyandar-
Children from 6 years to 15 years
live in this Chidaran Home, for some reason their parents are not there or due
to poverty, they live in this Chidaran Home and study in the nearby school.
When our team went to this home, we
were very happy to meet these little Cute children.
We gave fruits and snacks and
interacted with them very much enjoyed. Us and also these kids. Happy to
meet Mr Nelson, he takes good care of these children.
We thank them for being so kind.
We are thankful to Mr. Sandeep
Bhalekar, Manuel Gawde, Mohan Thapa, Ashok Nayan for this visit.
